Trowbridge Square
|
|
Trowbridge Square is located within a National Register Historic District and is bordered by Portsea Street on the north, Cedar Street on the east, Carlisle Street on the south and Salem Avenue on the west. It is surrounded by a utilitarian iron post fence. Wide concrete walks and a center concrete square take up much of the green. Mature shade trees are planted in the long and narrow grassy areas between the walks. A fenced playground is situated near Carlisle Street. Benches are located around the edge of the center square where it is also lighted. Masonry posts at the end of each section of fence are painted with graffiti and the grass needs cutting.
