Court House Green

Court House Green, located within the Haddam Center National Register Historic District, is a small triangular-shaped parcel bounded by Route 154 on the east, Hayden Hill Road on the north and Walkley Hill Road on the south. To the east is a flagpole. In front of it near Route 154 are the steps of the stone courthouse which double as a memorial plaque. A low stone retaining wall surrounds the green.

Across Route 154 is first the burying ground, the earliest cultural resource remaining in the district. The houses surrounding the green are well-preserved, dating from the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
